Dear fans,
I have some very exciting news for you... I will always have a place in his heart for Contemporary Jazz, and I will continue to perform Smooth Jazz on occasion, but it's time for me to move into a new direction... Pop/Rock. Both Jazz and Rock are very much a part of my roots and the two never seem to completely separate. Most of my fans are familiar with my up tempo "Benson-esque" sound, which I love to play, but a new sound is on the way, with vocals. Think Lenny Kravitz, Eric Clapton, Eric Johnson and a little John Mayer and you may be coming close to my new sound.
I'm hoping to reach a much bigger audience with bigger venues and a fresh new sound. But, in order to make this happen, I'm asking for your support. Many of my fans have been asking for a new album release. My last CD, Mesmerized, was released in 2009 and I can't wait to break ground on a new one. Unfortunately, due to rising recording and production costs and the looming demise of Smooth Jazz radio, I have not been able to come up with the funds for a new album project. I understand that in today's world, there are countless needs and charities that need your financial support and so many causes that should be a high priority for all of us. However, if you do happen to have a little extra to help make this album a reality, I would be eternally grateful. Thanks from the bottom of my heart for your continued support of my music.
