Get ready... Jay's back in the studio again writing new material for his next album release. Don't be surprised if you hear a little more than guitar coming from Jay this time 'round.. "I'm ready to release an album that truly reflects all of who I am as an artist. I plan to have quite a few vocal tracks on this album along with some familiar guitar sounds. However, musically, it will be the most diverse project to date. I'm really looking forward to working on this next CD. Michael Broening (producer for George Benson, Marion Meadows and many others..) will be producing the album. Michael is a friend of mine from many years back and we seem to click well musically. This should prove to be a fruitful, working relationship for us both.."

It's been a turbulent ride this past year, but great things are in the works. I've recently signed with nuGroove Records and I'm thrilled with all the possiblities that this could bring. I hope to be on tour and in your area soon. This is a new experience for me, but I'm SO looking forward to it.
I couldn't be more excited about my my new release Stay Awhile, as it's brimming with outstanding artists and session players. Jeff Lorber took me under his wing and produced a few tracks for me. His knowledge with this stuff is out of this world. I had the extreme honor and pleasure of having Jeffrey Osborne grace the CD with his voice, singing a tune I wrote just last year. Michael Lington returned on this project adding his amazing chops to a Stevie Wonder remake, Send One Your Love. The great Paul Brown worked his producing magic on this track as well as Jaywalking. Darren Rahn (Wayman Tisdale, Jonathan Butler) produced four of the tracks. And, Phoenix producer/bassist, Mario Mendivil produced a catchy tune, Holding On, that he co-wrote with me.
